Saturday In The District: Painkiller - BTS

So I had a very weird idea for a short video based entirely around a featureless, reflective mask. This posed some serious challenges when it came to filming because camera placement had to be more thought out. That mask was catching ALL THE REFLECTIONS! It definitely made shooting the mask-wearers straight on, and even from the side, a pain in that ass. In the end, I had a great cast and crew to help me make it work!

Spook shit, right?!

“You can’t see me!”

Yes, I cast the villain from Ant Man in my short film! Love him on the Strain, too! LOL!!!

“Is it killin’ time, yet?!

“Mr. Grey will see you now … ”

Just shootin’ closeups.

My star and producer takin’ selfies while I’m workin’!

12:30am and it’s a wrap, B!!! Wrap it up!!!

Saturday In The District: DC Pride Parade

Another free Saturday, so I decided to spend it downtown and take a few shots of the DC Pride Parade. Thankfully the weather held up, despite reports that called for a chance of rain. Managed to get a lot of good photos on the street AND from the balcony of a good friend’s apartment.

Saturday In The District

So, I’ve been pretty busy lately. Although it’s been the good kind of “busy”, it can be tough when you know you have your own personal pursuits. So last weekend, with nothing on my calendar, I decided to take some “me” time and spend the day in the city [Washington, DC] and snap a few pics.

I stuck mostly to Meridian Hill Park and the U Street Corridor, but I did also make it to Dupont Circle for a “Silent Disco Party”.
